Known Issues¶
If there are any known issues in this release of botaniq
they'll appear here.
Geometry nodes assets don't work correctly in 3.6.8 to 3.6.X¶
This is due to a versioning bug in a Blender. The Transfer Attribute
from the source
data in 3.3.2
node doesn't get replaced by its successor - one of the Sample
nodes.
You can use other Blender version or replace the Transfer Attribute
node manually.

Crash when using Particle Systems on Computers Running macOS and AMD Graphics Card¶
Some users may encounter crashes when utilizing the particle system features of botaniq. This issue is likely not attributable to botaniq, but rather a known error within Blender. Specifically, certain AMD brand graphics cards integrated into a limited number of Apple computers running macOS—particularly those manufactured between 2013 and 2015—are susceptible to this problem.

Shaders turn black when joining meshes¶
botaniq shaders use custom properties, meaning the order of selection is important when joining meshes. Blender will always preserve custom properties on the active object and ignores them on other selected objects. Missing properties may result in broken functionality not just in shaders but also some other botaniq features.
To ensure all features are preserved make sure to select botaniq asset last when joining meshes.
This solution also applies to assets turning black when using Geo-Scatter's export options.
What if I have already joined the meshes?
Use Copy Attributes
addon and Copy Selected Custom Properties
from similar botaniq asset. Then
change any value to update scene.
