Texture Bombing

Texture bombing is a technique utilized in materialiq in order to avoid visible tiling in the areas covered by texture

How to Enable It

Texture bombing is available in the mapping sub-panel of materialiq n-panel. You can turn it on by changing value from 0 to to 1.

Afterwards you can use the available parameters to tune the texture bombing effect to your desired result.

Texture Bombing settings are visible only in advanced user interface!

Parameters

  • Bombing strength
    • Random island texture offset
  • Bombing Scale
    • Scale of the islands
  • Bombing granularity
    • Noise size (granularity) of the transfer
  • Bombing sharpness
    • Sharpness of the transfer
  • Bombing rotation
    • Rotation of the islands
You cannot use texture bombing for height maps

Bombing is not applied to height maps to prevent visible seams
