Panel Overview

The aquatiq panel is located on the right side of the 3D viewport window. Press the N key on your keyboard and select the polygoniq tab to access it. We will go over more details on pages dedicated to some of these features, consider this just a quick overview of what's possible with aquatiq panel.

Can't see the panel

If you do not see the panel or do not see any panels at all, check that engon addon is enabled in Preferences --> Addons and that the asset pack is shown under the Asset Packs section. Also, make sure you are in Object Mode. You can usually switch between modes by pressing Tab

Spawning assets through engon

All assets, effects, materials and scenes are spawned through the engon addon. If you have multiple polygoniq add-ons enabled they will all be shown here. Check out Spawning Assets to learn more.

Material

Painting Alpha Mask

Switches you to vertex paint mode and enables you to paint vertex colors of the aq_mask mask. This feature is explained at length in Painting Mask.

Editable assets

Assets need to be converted into Editable using the engon addon for this feature to be enabled. When converting the assets back to Linked, the custom vertex colors will be deleted.

Material limitations

If you spawn materials from the shoreline scene a warning appears next to the Materials section. When you click on the warning a message appears describing next suggested steps. The shoreline scene is great for getting to know the aq_Water_Ocean and aq_Water_Shoreline materials. See the Shaders documentation to learn more about the water shaders from the scene.

Puddles

Enables you to add and remove puddles on a selected surface. Use Add Puddles to add puddles to a surface and interface with more settings appears enabling you to customize the appearance of the puddles. Remove Puddles removes the effect from the surface you selected. Read more here
