What is engon?

engon is free, purely code addon, that contains lot of useful functionality, that was originally in the individual polygoniq addons. Its power lies in its compact size, so it can be easily updated and downloaded without having to download GBs of asset data. engon also serves as manager of individual asset packs,

What is an asset pack?

Collection of blend files, textures and other materials and an .pack-file JSON. Can be loaded into engon. Once the asset pack is registered all its asset can automatically use all of engon functionality, such as dynamic filters, snap to ground, etc...

Price

engon is free and open source, hosted on GitHub. But you can also support the development on Blender Market or Gumroad.

Blender Asset Browser integration

engon takes care of integrating the installed asset packs into the blender asset browser but also engon browser. No user action is necessary, engon can scan and update according to which .pack-info files are found.
